Knox Kpop is holding KKG auditions for the Spring 2027 Season, which runs January to June. Auditions are Thursday, November 19 at Karns Community Club Event Center, and applications are due by October 31.

No matter your experience or energy level, Asami adjusts the choreography’s intensity to match your comfort and capability. Two decades of experience working with all backgrounds, fitness levels, and ages.
Judgment-free zone. Everyone is here to have fun, learn, and express themselves through dance. Mom worried about your kids? Bring them. Want to bring a spouse or partner? They’re welcome too.
Each class is one hour. Wear comfortable clothing and dance shoes or sneakers. Bring water.

Get ready to turn up the heat on Knoxville’s dance scene with Asami Martin — your K-Pop dance dynamo straight from the vibrant streets of Yokohama, Japan.
A dancer, choreographer, and coach with 25 years of dance experience, rooted in Hip-Hop and shaped by the discipline and artistry of K-Pop performance culture. Her journey began in Japan, where she led a Hip-Hop dance team, choreographed for performances, and competed at a national level.
After moving to the U.S. in 2010, Asami continued teaching and choreographing across studios, schools, and community events — building dancers from the ground up and helping them find their confidence one count at a time.
As a proud member of Southern Sole Hip Hop (one of Knoxville’s most respected dance crews), she’s shared the stage with incredible talent — including the electrifying Chris Blue from The Voice.
Knox Kpop is the ultimate K-Pop dance experience where passion meets precision. It’s not just a class — it’s a cultural mosaic, a fitness fiesta, and an absolute blast all rolled into one.
Knox Pop Con is the festival side of the Knox K-Pop family — the same nonprofit, a different stage. Asami founded it to give Knoxville a true home for K-Pop, J-Pop, anime, cosplay, and youth creativity, and to give rising talent a real stage to shine on.
