Inclusive Environment:
This is a judgment-free zone! Everyone is here to have fun, learn, and express themselves through dance.
Duration: 1 hour
Attire: Comfortable clothing and dance shoes or sneakers.
EXPERIENCE:
No matter your experience or energy level, I have two decades of experience as a dancer and choreographer working with people from all backgrounds, experience levels, fitness levels, and ages. I will adjust the choreography’s intensity to match your comfort and capability.
Ages:
I want all ages to experience and fall in love with dance! I have experience with young kids, teenagers, and our great life-experienced adults!
Are you a mom worried about your kids? No problem, I’m a mom, too! Bring your kids! Mine will be there, as well! Want to bring a spouse or partner? No problem, mine will be there, too! :D
My goal is to share with you my genuine joy & passion: dance.

About ASAMI

Get ready to turn up the heat on Knoxville’s dance scene with Asami Martin — your K‑Pop dance dynamo straight from the vibrant streets of Yokohama, Japan! 
I’m a dancer, choreographer, and coach with 25 years of dance experience, rooted in Hip‑Hop and shaped by the discipline and artistry of K‑Pop performance culture. My dance journey began in Japan, where I led a Hip‑Hop dance team, choreographed for performances, and competed at a national level.
After moving to the U.S. in 2010, I continued teaching and choreographing across studios, schools, and community events—building dancers from the ground up and helping them find their confidence one count at a time. When the world shut down during COVID, I kept dance alive through online classes and community training—because dance isn’t just movement… it’s identity, healing, and connection.
From international adventures to unforgettable stages — Canada’s coolness, Guam’s grooves, Thailand’s thrills, and the Philippines’ fire — I’ve left my mark choreographing and battling around the world. Then America became home. Love happened, family blossomed with a wonderful husband, son, and a daughter… but the dance?
The dance NEVER stops. 
As a proud member of Southern Sole Hip Hop (one of Knoxville’s most respected dance crews), I’ve shared the stage with incredible talent — including the electrifying Chris Blue from The Voice.
Now it’s Knoxville’s turn. 🎶
